Prospective candidates for Dáil Elections may use the forms available for download below to register their candidacy. Candidates should contact the office of the Returning Officer to make an appointment to register their nomination. All candidates will require a completed Nomination form and Agent Forms. Candidates running under the banner of a registered political party should get a certificate of political affiliation signed by the designated party officials. Non-party candidates must lodge a deposit of €500 with the returning officer or submit a completed Form of Statutory Declaration by Assentors. Assentors should use the same name on that form as the name that appears on the electoral register to ensure that the form can be processed correctly.

We are currently accepting applications for work at the forthcoming European and Local Elections and Referendum from people aged 18 years and over.   The poll will be held on Friday 7th Jone and to be eligible to work at the election you must not be actively canvassing for any candidate in any of the elections nor for either side in any referendum which may be held on the that day.    This includes expressing opinions relating to the elections or referendum on social media.

Applications must be made through this website by clicking the "Work Application" option on the menu at the left hand side of this page.   The election office is not staffed between elections so we have no facility to accept applications by phone or post.  For the same reason we cannot respond to queries concerning any application.
